Introduction

Training today opens the doors of the workplace and university.

Vocational Training is a teaching which, in addition to qualifying you in a profession, also allows you to continue your studies. It is a good route to Degree-level study (University) When we talk of VT, we are referring to Formal teaching and to other directed studies to facilitate entry into the working world and keep you up to date with the latest technology. Its objective is to increase and adapt training of people over the course of their life.
Formal Vocational Training are studies which are distributed in modules (subjects) that lead to gaining a qualification of Technician (Ordinary Training Degrees) and of Advanced Technician (Advanced Training Degrees). Within the frame of the LOE all the courses last 2,000 hours and last two school years. In second year, it includes the module of Training in Work Centres (FCT), obligatory for all the cycles and which is carried out in companies. In addition, you can carry out this module in a Work Centre abroad (Leonardo and Erasmus programmes).
