Introduction

Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) is made up of four academic years (aged from 12 to 16 years), divided into two cycles: 1^st and 2^nd ESO (1^st cycle); 3^rd and 4^th ESO (2^nd cycle).

 This stage is very important with view to consolidating the students´ character and maturity as well as to guide towards the academic and professional future. 

 We offer all the linguistic models (A, B, and D) and the use of the various languages (Basque, English, and German) with complementary and extracurricular activities in this environment and in Europe.

ESO in Diocesanas, like the other stages, responds to an educational Project that bets on values, innovation, and technology. A social and cultural commitment with our environment that we transmit to our students.

 This stage is characterised by a training and experience of values (respect, responsibility, solidarity and personal values), the employment of new methodologies of teaching-learning and the general use of information and communication technologies (projectors in the classrooms, multimedia libraries, Wi-Fi, videoconferencing, etc.)

 We offer direct and personalised monitoring and through the tutorial service (tutorial plan of action and coordination of tutors) and with the support of the Psycho-pedagogical Attention Service (psychologists, psycho-educationalists, therapeutic educationalists, and social workers) to achieve better academic and personal integration.

 In addition we pay special attention to pupils with academic and social difficulties, through the Special Educational Needs programme (educational reinforcement outside and inside the classroom, linguistic support and Classroom of Task Learning), from a broader approach of Attention to Diversity, responding to the demands and concrete needs of each pupil and their families.
